Results of our Fund Raising Raffle are in!

Time to announce our Raffle winners! As you know, the raffle was held on July 4th, 2021 at Harvest Foods in Orofino. None of the winners were present but were later contacted by phone and soon received their prize.

The winner of our $100 cash third place prize was Jeremy of the Weippe area.

The winner of our 800 rounds of .223 ammo was Leroy of the Orofino area.

The winners of our 1st place prize of the Ruger rifle and Nightforce scope is Loren and Linda of the Kamiah area. I say winners because Linda filled out the tickets in her husband Loren's name so we'll let them sort out who the actual winner is! They are both new hams, getting their ticket earlier this year after passing their technician exam following one of Milt's training sessions. I do remember meeting them and recall them to be very friendly and personable. I welcome them both to the ham radio family and look forward to hearing them on the radio as members of the local Kamiah club.

Enough cannot be said about our local businesses who provided goods and services in support of our club's fundraiser.

Olives Auto Parts (and more) provided a substantial cost reduction for our purchase of the Ruger firearm. They additionally waived the firearm transfer fee as well!

Tony at Harvest Foods in Orofino allowed us to set up a display indoors on multiple dates during which we sold more than half of the 2000 tickets!

Kelly at Krystal's cafe kept ticket booklets on hand and promoted the sale by selling close to 250 tickets herself!

Kamiah businesses Cloninger's and Ted's Valley Auction permitted us to sell tickets at their locations as well.

But most certainly the substantial selling point of this raffle was the Nightforce scope mounted on the rifle. Local business Nightforce is a world renown manufacturer of rifle optics and DONATED the premier optics for this raffle. There is little doubt this had a substantial part in the success of this raffle!

I personally thank each one of these businesses for their support and shall do my best in further promoting their business. Additionally, I thank all members of the Clearwater Valley Amateur Radio Club for their support in this fundraising effort. We met our goal and now the true work begins.
